School Tax Relief (STAR) Credit Program
If you are a new homeowner, you may be eligible for the New York State School Tax Relief (STAR) Credit Program. The STAR program can help homeowners save hundreds of dollars annually on school taxes.
You only need to register once. If you remain eligible, the New York State Tax Department will automatically issue your STAR credit each year.

Grievance Day

RP-524 forms should be returned to the Assessor’s Office no later than May 17, 2027, if you would like the Assessor to review your application prior to Grievance Day.
The Town of New Baltimore Board of Assessment Review will be convened on Wednesday, May 26, 2027. We request that you contact the Assessor’s Office in advance to schedule an appointment.
While walk-ins are welcome, individuals without a scheduled appointment will be heard on a first-available basis and may experience waiting times. Please note that Grievance Day hearings are scheduled between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and each appointment will be limited to 10 minutes.
